Young students quickly learn and play music. By starting young, students develop musical skills that will last a lifetime. During lessons, students learn correct guitar playing technique,  how to read music, music theory, and how to use chords to accompany songs. The goal of each lesson is to learn, to play and to enjoy the skills we have acquired during lessons.

Adult lessons are for absolute beginners or for players who would like help moving their paying to the next level. Lessons include learning to read music, developing correct left and right-hand technique, music theory, chord/melody finger-style playing, and improvisation/composition.

Scott holds a Master's of Music Education from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. He is a former student of Ronald Pearl. He has been an adjunct faculty member in the music department at Carroll Community College and a middle school music educator in Carroll and Harford county public schools.  He was a private guitar instructor at Coffey Music in Westminster, MD from 2001 - 2022. Currently, he is a member of the advisory board for Carroll Music Teachers.
